Home for 7 weeks is a second floor apartment in a quiet residential area in Mellieha, Malta. Going to get fit with no lift and lots of stairs to climb! We found this apartment with the assistance of the Frank Salt real estate agents who have holiday and long term lets. We got a deal on a fully-furnished holiday let at 250 Euros per week rather than 650 Euros for 6 people during April to May – bargain! Water and electricity consumption are charged extra and our initial estimate based on 6 days use are 10 Euros a week for electricity and 15 Euros for water (78 units electricity and 3 cubic metres of water). Excuse the mess, forgot to take photos when we arrived and before we gave the place the lived in look. Gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer with washing machine in a different room makes this 3 bedroom apartment just perfect for us for an extended stay.

Two balconies for drying clothes but sadly no ‘real sea view from either. We are 10 minutes walk from grocery stores, restaurants and the bus stop. The view from our balcony is strictly speaking a ‘side sea-view’, in other words: you can see the sea if you either stand on your tip-toes or lean out so far you risk falling over the rail or alternatively have a zoom lens fitted to your eyes!

See images below for the seaview from the balcony as compared with the zoomed view at the top of this post!
